A Colorado Police Officer quit her Job after 21 years
Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office veteran Shannon Lofland, 44, resigned after 21 years when officials discovered her secret career in the adult film industry. Facing financial struggles from a $500,000 hailstorm repair, rising mortgage rates, and mounting debt, she turned to the industry as a legal and lucrative way to save her home. Despite earning enough to cover her mortgage, an internal investigation revealed she violated department policy by not disclosing her side job. Lofland, who loved her law enforcement career, resigned on Tuesday and also stepped down from Colorado’s Peace Officer Standards and Training board. While uncertain about her future, she hasn’t ruled out continuing in the industry, saying she had no other choice at the time.
